Continuing Nursing Education (CNE)

Al-Subtain University for Medical Sciences — College of Nursing and Midwifery

The Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) Unit serves as a cornerstone of professional development within the College of Nursing and Midwifery. Its primary mandate is to ensure that nursing practitioners, clinical educators, and graduating students remain aligned with the latest advancements in evidence-based practice, clinical protocols, and healthcare policy.

The unit is responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating structured educational programs — including workshops, simulation-based training, scientific seminars, and competency refresher courses — tailored to meet the evolving needs of both academic and clinical nursing environments.

In collaboration with affiliated teaching hospitals and healthcare institutions, the CNE Unit bridges the gap between theoretical nursing education and real-world clinical practice, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and professional accountability among nursing professionals at all levels.

Furthermore, the unit oversees the documentation and certification of continuing education credits, supporting nursing staff in fulfilling the professional development requirements set forth by relevant regulatory and licensing authorities.
