Accreditation and Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance (QA) serves as the fundamental pillar for the development of the College of Medicine at Warith Al-Anbiyaa University (Al-Sibtayn University) for Medical Sciences. It aims to ensure that academic, clinical, and administrative processes adhere to rigorous international standards, thereby achieving excellence in medical education and translational scientific research. This encompasses the implementation of policies and procedures focused on continuous evaluation and improvement, which contributes to enhancing the College’s operational efficiency, increasing student and community satisfaction, and boosting its local and international competitiveness.

Quality assurance within the College focuses on several key standards, most notably: the quality of medical curricula, the competency of faculty members, the efficacy of clinical research, advanced learning environments in teaching hospitals and simulation laboratories, and institutional governance. National and international medical accreditation bodies, such as the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), serve as the primary benchmarks for evaluating performance according to precise and objective criteria.

Division Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and Implementation: Tracking and executing university quality plans related to quality assurance, with the aim of establishing an internal quality system that elevates the standard of medical education.
  • Fostering a Quality Culture: Promoting a culture of quality among faculty members, medical students, and all clinical and administrative staff, while emphasizing the importance of implementing the medical accreditation system and consolidating quality assurance mechanisms.
  • Monitoring Programs: Developing periodic monitoring and follow-up programs to ensure compliance with medical education and academic accreditation standards.
  • Quality Control: Guaranteeing quality control across all components of the educational process, including: medical students, university and teaching hospital infrastructure, medical curricula, faculty members, and scientific research.

This ensures performance quality meets both national and international medical standards. Its primary responsibilities include:

  • Accreditation and Quality: Monitoring the implementation of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards in both educational and research laboratories.
  • Maintenance and Calibration: Overseeing the coding (asset tagging) of laboratory and medical equipment, and implementing periodic maintenance and calibration programs in coordination with relevant authorities.
