Accreditation &Quality Assurance


Quality assurance is the cornerstone of the College of Nursing's development, aiming to ensure that academic and administrative processes adhere to rigorous standards to achieve outstanding educational and research outcomes. This includes policies and procedures focused on continuous evaluation and improvement, enhancing the college's efficiency, increasing student and community satisfaction, and bolstering its local and international competitiveness.

 

Quality assurance at the college focuses on several key criteria, most notably: curriculum quality, faculty competence, research effectiveness, the clinical and simulation learning environment, and institutional governance. National and international accreditation bodies serve as primary benchmarks for evaluating performance according to precise and objective standards.

 

The Division's Tasks

1- Monitoring and implementing the university's quality plans related to quality assurance in order to build an internal quality system that enhances the quality of the educational process.

2- Promoting a culture of quality among faculty members, students, and all university staff, emphasizing the importance of implementing the quality assurance and academic accreditation system and reinforcing information related to quality assurance and accreditation mechanisms.

3- Establishing periodic monitoring and follow-up programs to ensure compliance with quality assurance and accreditation standards.

4- Ensuring quality control for all components of the educational process, including (university students, university infrastructure, curricula, faculty members, and academic research).

5- Providing advice, guidance, and support to university colleges that have not achieved the required levels of quality assurance in the areas requiring accreditation.

6- Preparing periodic follow-up reports on the division's activities and submitting them to the university's Quality Assurance and Accreditation Department.

7- Preparing the annual self-assessment for the colleges

8- Creating a database of the colleges.

 9- Any other tasks assigned to the division by the Quality Assurance Department at the university presidency to enhance quality assurance of the educational process in the future


The division is responsible for the technical and evaluative supervision of the educational institution's laboratories, aiming to ensure performance quality that meets national and international standards. Its main responsibilities include:


• Accreditation and Quality: Monitoring the implementation of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.


• Maintenance and Calibration: Monitoring the coding of laboratory equipment and implementing maintenance and calibration programs in coordination with relevant authorities.


• Documentation and Procedures: Supervising the application and documentation of approved procedural methods in the laboratories.


• Evaluation and Control: Conducting field visits to assess quality and forming internal audit teams to measure the efficiency of tests and adherence to standards.


• Coordination and Studies: Coordinating work with various departments and preparing statistics and studies related to the state of scientific laboratories.
