Organizing volunteer campaigns

The Deanship of the College of Nursing and Midwifery at Al-Sibtain University held a coordination meeting on Tuesday morning, May 19, 2026, at 9:00 AM, with the disaster health Medicine Department in Holy Karbala to discuss organizing a voluntary campaign for college students to provide health and nursing services to the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during the blessed Day of Arafah pilgrimage.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Ali Kareem Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College, and Dr. Mahdi Rudhawi Director of the disaster health Medicine Department, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs Professor Dr. Noor Al-Din Mohammadi, and Dr. Makki Al-Attar representing the disaster health Department.

During the meeting, both sides discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation and reviewed organizational and procedural plans aimed at delivering the best possible healthcare and nursing services to visitors, in line with the humanitarian and medical efforts carried out during the mass pilgrimage events in Karbala.

The attendees emphasized the importance of promoting the spirit of volunteerism among students and providing them with opportunities for field participation in serving visitors and gaining practical experience, reflecting the college’s humanitarian and professional mission in serving the community.
