Under the patronage of the President of Al-Sibtain University of Medical Sciences (the international branch of Tehran University of Medical Sciences), and under the direct supervision and organization of the Dean of the College of Nursing and Midwifery, Professor Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, the college held a grand celebration to commemorate "International Nurses Day," amidst a wide official, academic and union presence.

The ceremony, organized by Professor Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, was attended by the Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Deans of Colleges, and a distinguished group of professors, staff, and students. The event was further enhanced by the presence of the Director General of the Karbala Health Department, the Head of the Nursing Syndicate (Karbala Branch), the Director of Nursing Affairs at the Health Department, and the Director of the Training and Human Development Center, reflecting the close collaboration between academia and the healthcare sector.

During the ceremony, Dean Professor Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri delivered a valuable speech outlining the college's strategic vision for preparing a generation of scientifically and professionally competent nurses. Dr. Al-Jubouri emphasized that nursing is the cornerstone of healthcare, praising the exceptional efforts of nursing staff in addressing health challenges, and stressing the college's commitment to keeping pace with the latest global developments in nursing and midwifery curricula.

The ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Iraqi national anthem. The program included a series of official speeches that focused on the leading and pivotal role of nursing staff as the cornerstone of the healthcare system.

The ceremony included the screening of a documentary film produced by the college students, a work that had previously won first place in the university competition. The film explored in depth the humanitarian and professional aspects of the nursing profession and the challenges faced by the "angels of mercy".

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, along with other officials, presided over a high-level awards ceremony. The ceremony honored directors of nursing affairs, a group of distinguished nurses from various healthcare institutions, and outstanding students, recognizing their contributions and supporting their academic and professional development.
