Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for first-year students

In its relentless pursuit of establishing the highest standards of academic quality and clinical training, the College of Nursing and Midwifery has concluded the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for first-year students. The exams were held over two consecutive days, characterized by outstanding performance and high discipline.

The OSCE is considered one of the most prestigious internationally recognized assessment methods in health sciences. It relies on a "Stations" system designed to test students on precise practical skills, including: clinical skills, effective patient communication, sound clinical decision-making, and the rigorous application of medical protocols.

The examination focused extensively on measuring proficiency in "Nursing Skills." The assessments covered vital procedures to ensure students master the practical aspects before transitioning to field practice, guaranteeing the delivery of safe and professional healthcare.

The exams were conducted in a highly organized academic atmosphere under the direct field supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, and in the presence of instructors and Teaching Assistants (TTAs). This approach reflects the university’s vision to prepare nursing staff who are scientifically and practically qualified to meet international standards.

We highly value the efforts of the faculty members and the supervisory committees for their mastery and organization. We wish our dear students continued success in their journey to serve the community.
