The Department of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing is dedicated to preparing competent nursing graduates with the knowledge, clinical skills, and professional attitudes required to provide comprehensive, safe, and evidence-based mental health nursing care for individuals, families, and communities. The department emphasizes mental health assessment, therapeutic communication, psychiatric nursing interventions, mental health promotion, prevention of mental disorders, and adherence to ethical standards while respecting patients' rights and dignity.

The department also promotes scientific research, community engagement, and lifelong learning, preparing graduates to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams in psychiatric hospitals, mental health units, community mental health centers, and other healthcare and academic settings.
