College of Medicine Organizes Specialized Workshop on Reflective Practice for Clinical-Stage Students

The College of Medicine at Al-Subtain (PBUH) University for Medical Sciences organized a specialized workshop entitled "Reflective Practice for Clinical-Stage Students" as part of the activities of the Department of Surgery aimed at enhancing clinical competencies and promoting modern educational approaches for clinical-stage medical students.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Azim Mirza Zadeh, who introduced the fundamental concepts of reflective learning and highlighted its importance in developing critical thinking and enabling students to analyze their clinical experiences. He also explained the stages of reflective learning and demonstrated how they can be effectively integrated into daily clinical practice to improve clinical performance and support evidence-based medical decision-making.

The workshop then progressed to its main practical activity, during which students participated in interactive exercises and clinical case discussions designed to strengthen their ability to analyze clinical situations, reflect on practical experiences, and bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical application. These activities contribute to preparing competent future physicians equipped with the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required in modern healthcare.

This workshop forms part of the College's continuous educational and training programs, reflecting its commitment to advancing clinical education and adopting innovative teaching strategies that align with international standards in medical education.
